- The first couple of workouts are 'gettting to know you,' don't worry about getting clobbered and not walking the next day. Smooth progress is fast progress, it's no good dreading coming back here.
- Though everyone's program is different, we always start with foam rolling, which takes about 10 minutes. If your commute here is 30 minutes or less, you may of course do this at home, for more training time.
- Training sessions run for one hour, though we might sometimes run over (if you'd like to put in some more time.) If you can't make your full hour, even 20-30 minutes is enough to get a productive workout, so come ahead in! If you absolutely can't make it, you can nominate a friend, if they're handy, to go to your session in your place.
- If you forget your workout gear, we have shorts and t-shirts for you to wear. You can also store workout clothes, including shoes, here at the gym. Shoes are not generally required, in fact many exercises are done better barefoot.
- We have full shower facilities, including towels, blow dryer, shampoo and soap, for clients. Water and towels for your workout are also provided. We can provide coffee or tea, as well, though it may be helpful to call or text ahead.
- If any exercise gives you pain (as opposed to workout fatigue) stop right away! We have alternatives (many!) for every exercise, we don't continue any exercise that causes pain. Just stop doing the exercise, then explain what you were feeling. Don't do a full set, then mention how now your neck/back/whatever is killing you.
- You can opt at any session to get a treatment session instead. You may have a headache, be extremely fatigued, feel yourself coming down with a cold...No problem, we have it handled. But Chinese medicine costs slightly more, so there will be a small surcharge. You'll need to decide whether to do this within the first 20 minutes of your session, however.
